I’m sure you are tired of Valentine’s Day outfit posts by now. Especially the red outfits everywhere. That’s why I decided not to style a red dress for Valentine’s Day this year but there is still a little touch of red.
Thrifted this dress some weeks back and it just seemed perfect for a Valentine ’s Day outfit. Although, I have put on quite a bit of weight in the past few months that has made me really skeptical of wearing bodycon dresses (just look at my tummy people!). I almost didn’t buy this dress but then I’m a girl who preaches body positivity so while working out to get that tummy in shape, I’ll stick rock my body like that.
I’ve been doing a lot of ‘multiple ways to style…’ and it seems as if you guys prefer them so I’ll do more in showing you how to maximize your outfits.
I’ve been fascinated with the pairing of purple and red since last year and I got the perfect opportunity to try it out with this outfit. Added the red blazer for Look 1 just in case you have a Valentine’s Day themed event or dinner with your man/girls. The weather gets a bit cold at night so your jacket would come in handy (it’s also in the spirit of Val’s). Gold sandals and a statement mini bag works perfectly.
This is for a more casual hangout and you can lose the jacket. Add a pair of cute sneakers and you are good to go.
Contrary to most people projecting the whole “Valentine’s Day is for red outfits” thing, I think you’ll do just fine with other colors. Add little red accessories if you like. Colors like Yellow, Orange, Pink, Nude and Purple pair well with red.
Which Look is your fave? What are your favorite colors to pair together?
