I love a cute split back top but styling a pink top or outfit generally, is not something I like. You must be tired of hearing me say I am not a fan of pink. I’ll just say “pink isn’t one of my favorite colors but I don’t hate it anymore”. Is that better? Okay.

Honestly,, if the item is pretty & it’s not in bright pink, then I will get it. Case in point, this split back top. A split back top is one that’s divided at the back from a particular point to the end of the seams. It is  I already thought of all the things that were wrong with it before I decided to buy. Then came the styling issue, I was bothered about not over flogging the colors because well, it’s still a pink top. Also had to tape my boobs but guess who forgot? Me! Hence the hand-blocking-boobs-poses.

Styling The Split Back Top

The split back & wrap details attracted me to this top. I’m not really a fan of high necks & would rather carry a jacket but I also really love the red floral print. Safe to say it’s not a full pink top after-all. Side note, red and pink is a combination that bangs every time. It instantly makes you look fashion forward.

I’ve realized I really need more mom jeans because this pair is tired of me. Also, since I added weight, it has become too snug. Anyway, let us focus on how well the mom jeans goes with the split back top. Got a retro vibe from the top and decided to go that route with the whole look. Finished it with the big hair and blush pink fringe mini bag. Did I nail it? I know the shoe is not particularly retro but let’s call it a “modern retrospective”.
