The snake print trend is one I was not keen on trying because I’m so African that when I hear ‘snake’, I literally run. I kept seeing some of my favorite style stars rocking the snake print trend so good that it became less cringe-worthy. Then I found this skirt on one of my Thrift trips for the store and I kinda gave in.
STYLING THE SNAKE PRINT TREND
Snake print trend has been taking over street style this year, it is a bit shocking how it totally took over from leopard skin. It has fast become a favorite for global fashion stores, designers & style stars. I can already imagine my mother’s reaction when she sees this post, I will definitely be getting calls from her asking “Wumi did you pray on that skirt before wearing it?”
The good thing is, the snake print comes in mostly neutral colors so it can be paired. Unless you are attending a fashion show and trying to make a statement, there is no need to over flog the snake print in your outfits. It is a trend for both the extroverts and introverts. If you just want to acknowledge the trend, you can style it belts, bags, scarves or shoes.
The snake print trend is not something I will fully buy into, so I am good with just this cute skirt. I picked my white muscle tee and decided to style with two different shoes. Styled with heels for the places that require it and white sneakers for the everyday look. I have styled the skirt with this crop top and other pieces & it goes perfectly with almost everything. The skirt comes with shorts underneath so it’s pretty easy to wear and quite comfortable. The side slits are high and gives it a sexy look, the skirt has become one of my favorite pieces.
You know how the famous DIOR bag ? Well as TANG, I cannot afford that one so I had to make do with what I had for the second look, my normal brown overnight bag. I tried yes? LOL.
Are you a fan of the snake print trend? Heels or Sneakers?
