The T-Shirt is one of the easiest fashion pieces to pair. There is nothing it cannot be paired on. Gone are the days when tees were just for casual wears. These days, they can be styled on anything you want to achieve any look you want!
Getting the right t-shirt is very important as there are various factors you should look out for before buying one;
It has to be of good quality especially if you are going to wear it on repeat. It shouldn’t be the type that will wash out after two times of styling it. (This post will guide you on how to know a good quality t-shirt.)
Statement t-shirts are the rave now. I’m constantly having to read something off someone’s t-shirt while on the road and it is pretty cool! You can either have your t-shirt customized with whatever you want (Grace does this so you can contact her) or get a branded t-shirt from your favorite designer. The likes of Nike, Adidas, Givenchy, Fendi etc. have had their branded t-shirt out and about on our favorite style stars. There is a little problem in getting the original in Nigeria though because I’m pretty sure you can’t get them for N1500 like it is sold in Balogun market LOL. (We stock original thrifted designer t-shirts on ThriftStoreNG).
Which is why I have focused more on wearing Nigerian brands proudly. Nigerian brands have also started making their branded t-shirts and one of my favorite brands Naya Rose has joined the league! Firstly, the fabric of this t-shirt is everything. Trust me when I say this is the best t-shirt I’ve owned in terms of the fabric quality. It is not lightweight and not bulky either, it is just perfect.
I have styled the t-shirt in a casual way for this post. Initially, I wanted to go with the regular jeans but what’s style without the occasional twist? I decided to pair it with my Bree skirt from Naya Rose as well. Mules have been a personal fave for a short while now and when my boss offered me this pair, I gladly grabbed it. Styled with my ever-faithful circle bag, I was set to go anywhere I wanted for the weekend. I actually wore this to the launch of a food store on the same day.
Every fashionista needs a branded t-shirt, it’s quite essential either as a minimalist or not. Make it even better by getting a Naya Rose branded t-shirt and support our Nigerian brands! It goes for just N3500 and you also get 10% off when you use my code ‘WUMINR’. See, I’ve made it really easy for you to slay!
Are you a fan of the branded/statement t-shit trend? What’s your favorite piece to style it on?
p.s. We need to pray for Nigeria and the government. I’m not sure there is anything else we can do than pray and get our PVCs. Our votes are our rights and I pray God helps us make the right decision when it comes to our leaders.
