Styling a floral jacket fashionably can be a bit tedious, sometimes it seems like it requires too much effort. Especially when you start to think about matching colors, that is, if you just don’t want to go with all black/white underneath. Well style hacks are back on the blog fully so I am here for you.
HOW TO STYLE A FLORAL JACKET
My go-to hack is to pick two colors from the jacket and style with pieces in shades of those colors. For this look, I picked black (duh!) and green. This makes it a stylish look without too many colors clashing. Now, if you want to go all out, another style hack is to color block with your shoes. In this case, yellow contrasts with green so I picked yellow shoes. A second shoe color would have been pink.
Paper bag pants have had my heart since last year and this light green pair is just so comfortable. Actually, this particular pair was on the store but it was still available when I wanted to shoot so I bought it. Really, I paid for it LOL. You should follow @thriftstoreng if you like this type of pants.
Every girl needs to own a silk camisole. They fit almost every look you put together and can be layered over your normal t-shirts & shirts (check this out). I also love how they give your look the feminine touch and are simply alluring. Definitely getting them in different colors especially the ones with lacy designs at the top.
Just because I was going for a subtly dramatic look, I picked multicolored earrings. For my hair, I simply transformed my big box braids into bantu knots for this look. A simple black bag to balance it all out, I mean, you can never miss with a chic black bag.
This hack actually works on all floral pieces and not just jackets. Will you be trying out this hack when next you style a floral piece? Don’t forget to tag me when you do.
