It’s time to bring out your Holiday party outfit and I am sharing some ideas because there are so many options that can work with your style. Also, we are in the slay season so you get all the yummy posts from me. Case in point, this peach suit that I’ve styled in 3 different ways just for you.
How are you preparing for the #DettyDecember parties? I know most schools are on holiday & some offices will be closing soon so it’s time to pull out your holiday party outfits.
I’ll make this into a 3 part series because I have 3 different outfits I want to style on the blog. So corporate/corporate casual, edgy/Afrocentric or cute baby girl, whichever one fits your style, you’ll surely get your holiday party outfits ideas from the posts.
The Peach Suit
The power suit is one trend I totally fell in love with this year and I started selling more of them on the store (@thriftstoreng). This is one of my stock and it is absolutely gorgeous. I fell in love with the color & just knew it was appropriate for a holiday party outfit. This is the time for awards, office parties etc. and what is better than wearing a suit? A versatile suit that can be styled both casually and otherwise.
This peach suit comes with a double-breasted jacket and cuffed pants so the silhouette it gives is very flattering. It is also a lighter fabric than normal suits so it is perfect for the weather.
Styling A Holiday Party Outfit
I decided to show you 3 ways it can be styled. Firstly, tucked in to give the illusion of a utility jumpsuit. This will serve as a more serious holiday party outfit and you can decide to pair with court shoes as well. Also, for those that don’t mind wearing suits at weddings, just pop a dramatic Fascinator on this and you are gold.
The second look is the tucked out version. It shows the double-breasted detail of the jacket more. It serves as a more relaxed holiday party outfit and you can switch up the shoes to sneakers or brogues. If you’re stopping by at a party after work, this is perfect.
The third look is with a black bodysuit. The jacket is opened and this serves as a casual and more comfortable holiday party outfit. Party with the girls, brunch with the lover or just a chilled party, this look is perfect.
It’s the festive season and you shouldn’t limit your outfit colors to just red, white & green. A little peach (or a lot in this case) will serve just the right amount of slay too.
I made these goddess braids last week and there have been so many compliments. It’s a deep shade of pink and I got the extensions as a gift from Darling Nigeria. I really love experimenting with colors on my hair, sure you have noticed from my wigs to my braids. If you want the contact of the girl who made them for me, just drop a comment. She does home service within Lagos.
Which of the three looks is more of your style?
Please share this post if you like it & shop yours from the store, we post new stock at least twice a week.
