On The Fringe Trend With Ankara

It has already been established that Ankara fabric has changed the game in fashion. With all the urban styles being made with the material now, one particular style has been all over recently. Fringe details on Ankara (a lot of other fabrics actually) have been around for quite some time and while I struggled not to get on the trend, I love fringe detailing too much to pass it by especially with my beloved Ankara, win-win situation. Another thing that has been established here on the blog is my love for two-piece outfits, so here we go.

I got this fabric from my mum from her remaining material. I am always excited to get them from her because I never get around to buying my own fabrics besides her 2/3 yards are enough to make me something very nice (like this dress. I really didn’t want to overdo the fringe detailing on this one because it is not a really dressy look, I wanted to keep it simple. Crop top and skirt is usually my default two-piece style but I recently started experimenting like I did with here and here. Frankly, there are so many beautiful two-piece styles out there waiting for the creativity to come into play.

It’s purple and it’s Ankara, just like I mentioned in my latest post on Kamdora, that is true love for me right there. I decided to keep it casual chic with heels, a black hat for a fun effect and carried my clutch in a cross-body style. It would be easy to make the switch to being owambe ready by ditching the hat & changing the clutch style.
