Easter- Not So Mellow Yellow

Happy Easter! Every season has its colors and Easter isn’t any different. Yellow isn’t one of my favorite colors but as one of my 2017 style resolutions is to wear more bright colors, I decided to go for the season’s color for this post.

This top first appeared in this post and I find myself styling it with a skirt again this time. The skirt is one of the three (3) styles I mentioned in my last post that I gave my tailor to make for me. I saw the material and fell in love with the glasses print, I would probably buy some more to make a dress with it. I paired it with silver sandals, my new love, the circle bag (carried as a hand purse as opposed to the shoulder bag in my last post) and I pinned a pink brooch to the top to accessorize. After I put this outfit together, it’s safe to say I’m loving the not so mellow type of yellow now. I really love the simplicity of the outfit formula despite the color pop, either to a wedding, dinner, brunch, this outfit is really versatile.

Thank You all for the love in my last post and due to demand, I am taking orders for the midi skirt in that print, the one in this post or any other for just N4500, if you are interested, please send a dm to @thethriftstoreng on Instagram and we would pick up from there.

I wish you all a wonderful Easter celebration and may the blessings of God remain with you and your family.

  2. You’ve really been slaying with those midi skirts. And I agree with your plan, its so much more economical to buy materials and sew your clothes rather then buying. Though one must have a faithful tailor. Love the colours in this outfit too.
