Hey people! How has your weekend been? Fast eh? I didn’t get much sleep and I had to arrange my clothes for the new week (my mum kept embarrassing me about how my clothes were everywhere ?) LOL
It’s the second post in the Black X White series, see the first here in case you missed it.
This one is about the mix and match life, actually I’m about that life too most of the time. Stripes and stripes have appealed to me in the past but a leopard print and stripes? I definitely had to try it out. I mean, it’s been in my head for a very long time and I kept pushing it back but you know what the weekend does to you, bringing out ideas and all, so I said why not?
I picked this leopard print maxi skirt made by a friend for Chene’s Couture. It’s a high-low design with two slits in front. I’ve had it since last year and worn it about two to three times, only with plain clothes. This time it seemed perfect for my black and white horizontal striped blouse.
The blouse is a bit loose so I keep it for any fitted pair of jeans I have but tucked in properly into the skirt, the looseness isn’t obvious.
Brown waist belt because I wanted to break the monotone. I decided to go for brown and not a bright colour because apart from loving this belt, the idea of brown leather on either white or black has this Western appeal that is cool and strong at the same time.
For shoes, I chose a similar leopard print peep-toe sandals in brown color to complement the belt.
Blouse- Carole Little
Belt- Dorothy Perkins
Skirt- Chene’s Couture
I hope you like this outfit as much as I do. Let me know your thoughts please.
Have a great week ahead.
