The obligatory birthday post this year will be brief because I am overwhelmed with love and all I want to do is give thanks to God.
Every year, I take a few days before my birthday to just reflect on the past year. This year was no different but my thoughts triggered a psychological breakdown and I canceled my birthday shoot. I am glad my friend and photographer Seun, did not listen to me. I got out of the funk, showed up to my impromptu shoot and showed out! So here is my birthday post featuring my current favorite dress.
Birthday Post & My favorite dress
Unlike my 25th birthday, I did not have the whole birthday shoot theme planned out. Two days ago, I got the idea of just drinking wine and taking beautiful pictures. I feel like I just entered the proper adulthood phase so why not drink some wine and enjoy myself?
My favorite guy got me this dress after I could not shut up about it for a month. Just look at the fit and you will understand my obsession. The fit is amazing and just because I love the brand’s customer service as well as the timely delivery, I will drop a link to the dress. I kept the rest of the look very simple with my favorite low heeled sandals.
The year of thanksgiving
I also almost did not do a birthday post but this is like my online diary so I have to log in today. Regardless of my mood or feelings. Then when I was praying this morning, all I could do was thank God for the past, present and future. My mum said something to e last weekend and I will paraphrase “If you thank God for something He has not done, He would have no choice than to do it for you, it is a challenge to Him and He will surely rise up to it”.
So rather than ask, I will keep thanking God while working and believing that all my dreams will come true. I actually feel this is the beginning of my best years so my heart is already filled with testimonies.
I hope you enjoyed this year’s birthday post. Cheers to the best year yet!
