What’s up guys? How was your weekend? I know I’m a day late but I was still in the weekend mood yesterday. I had a less busy weekend mainly because I was not really feeling well but I attended the Moet Part Day event on Saturday.
So my friend (Obara) hit me up some weeks ago and said she got me an invite for the Moet Party and I was excited because well free champagne, food and music LOL. It was an all white themed party, trust Lagosians to come out and slay.
Moet Day is a day the popular luxury champagne Moet & Chandon celebrates all over the world. The Nigerian celebration took place at Hard Rock Cafe, Victoria Island, Lagos and was scheduled for 12pm. We got there around past 2pm and it was just starting (we guessed the African time thing right). The place started filling up about 1 later and there was free champagne up till a point but thereafter, people had to buy a bottle of Moet & Chandon because they had run out of free drinks (lucky me).
There was no planned programme as I expected and everyone was left to socialize till we had to go get our food inside the cafe, it was buffet and there were a lot of options, I ate what I knew and greatly admired the rest (covers face). We left around 4;30pm as it was due to end by 5pm and my house is far sadly that was when the DJ started playing jams (there was a live band previously) & the fun started in earnest. All in all, I had fun and then I got to dress up so no complaints!
Lade of Be_u_by_lade made my two-piece and I totally love the off-shoulder lace top. Paired with tan shoes and a brown bag I borrowed from Obara, I decided to tie a plaid shirt on my waist just for fun (you know I never do basic). Obara kept it chic with a bodycon dress, lace kimono and nude heels. Oh and they gave us white Moet branded sunnies *inserts big smile*
What did you get up to during the weekend?
Have a fantastic week ahead.
