Wardrobe staples are the essentials that remain classic in your wardrobe for a long period of time.
Having money to shop is one thing but what’s more important is knowing what exactly to shop for especially because I know the struggle with impulsive shopping and how you have to deal with staring at an item for years without ever wearing it. Wardrobe staples differ with each person’s style, so I asked 6 fashionistas what their wardrobe staples are. According to them, these are the 10 items you need to nail those stylish looks every day.

  1. I’m forever on the look out for African bloggers and you’ve just introduced me to some amazing fashionistas! Great piece too. ?

  2. A wardrobe staple for me is black shoes. I took for granted owing a black shoe until this year when I didn’t have any. We all know black goes with anything so owing a pair of black court shoes and/or black flats saves you the stress trying to match your outfit and shoes. Preferably leather. They can be pricey but definitely worth the investment.

I also think a white dress is equally important. My friend and I were in a dilemma recently because we got invited to an all white party and didn’t have a white dress. It’s pretty hard getting a good white dress at a moments notice. If you own a white dress, just like the white tee, you can dress it up or down, depending. And just like the BD, it’s a classic and doesn’t go out of style.

I love the blogger that said sunglasses. I didn’t understand the important of shades until recently when I noticed that it can add glam to my face and outfit. plus I can use it to hide my face if I am not wearing makeup (It hides the fact that I don’t have brows, lol)

    Great post Wumi…Cheers!
