When young creatives come up with fabulous stuff, I am always eager to be a part of it and that is why I contacted the creative team of HIVE on working with them after I saw some of their shirts on Instagram, especially the luminous ones. We all know how awesome T-shirts make casual day outfits look yeah?
The brand got the name HIVE from “beehive”… hive being the home of bees which is a 6-sided polygon. The number 6 symbolically means ‘Love’ and bees tend to show support, loyalty and love in their clan especially on their hive, these are the attributes the brand HIVE wants to portray (Love, Loyalty & Support). HIVE has been in operation for about a year now and has sold over 200 shirts since inception. The brand focuses on Polygonal art designs implemented on various categories of shirts (t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, muscle tees etc) and most of the designs come in luminous form. The brand also gives room for custom made designs for interested customers at affordable rates.
All shirts go for N4000 while the signature t-shirts go for N3500. Their cap collection would also be out in December, 2016.
Personally, I picked the Fela Poly Art t-shirt (Large size)because I have always wanted a Fela inspired piece and honestly, the fabric of the shirt is way better than I expected and I am really impressed, (the glow seems to amuse my dad at night LOL). I wore mine to Konamii 2016, paired with grey jeans and white Keds for a casual look & accessorized with my TANG Bandanna Visor.
I am currently taking orders for the Visor so if you are interested, kindly drop your email in the comment section and I would holla at you ASAP. The bandanna is available in different colors so you can choose whichever you want.
